Relief for Single Parents through the Duamenefa Foundation

By |February 13th, 2019|Missions|

Single parenthood for the financially struggling person can bear traumatic challenges as a result of frustrations and disappointments from not being able to provide for children who in many cases have to abandon basic schooling and become street hawkers and beggars.

In order to alleviate this problem in some localities of Ghana, Treasures of His Eyes decided to collaborate with the Duamenefa Foundation to offer relief to some single parents. This was facilitated through the Country Director – Pastor Harrison Agyekum.  The series of donations to support the single parents began way back in 13th of April, 2018, followed by the second phase which took place on the 3rd of February, 2019 at the Global Evangelical Church Chapel, Vui, in the Keta Municipality of the Volta Region, Ghana where sewing machines were donated to support single parents.

Treasures of his Eyes launched a support based program of rescue through provision of skilled empowerment in diverse fields of vocation and provision of equipment to already trained single parents who could not afford to procure equipment to earn a living.

Thursday 1st June 2017, Ghana

Back at Anloga after travelling for hours from Koforidua just in time for 7pm meeting. Thanking God for His mercies in all.

We had a wonderful time in His presence. Thank you Lord.

Friday 2nd June 2017, Ghana

It was such a priviledge meeting with these wonderful women at Global Evangelical Church Aborgame – Anloga. The church is at least 10 minutes walk through a farm and sandy park apart from driving distance. I was so honoured they all showed up on the night, not only in time but with such appreciation and love.

I give God all the glory for His continued grace and favour. With a grateful heart I thank  Reverend Gerson Borkorlrdzl for hosting me and also acting as my translator.
